(samo) LEPA MIZA (just) A BEAUTIFUL TABLE

Še ena sreda in še en moj eksperiment kapljic. 💧 

Čas za razmišljanje je tako zelo relevanten in se sploh ne more dogajati za tistimi mizami, ki dobivajo največ pozornosti. Nalašč sem pustila moj ročni zapis v svojem jeziku. Zanimivo koliko več prostora zavzame :)

Another Wednesday, another of my droplets experiments. 💧 

Time for thinking feels more relevant than ever – and it simply cannot happen at the tables that receive the most attention. I intentionally left my handwritten note in my own language. It’s interesting how much more space it takes :)

(just) A BEAUTIFUL TABLE

…for me, a daily ritual that prepares all our relationships for a new day. A warm tea, a candle, and a piece of poetry with bread are enough to create a sense of celebration. I adore the scent of being in love with Life.

The table is a fireplace of the house. We meet there after sleep, after marriage, after death, for celebrations and on completely ordinary days.

Your table is one of the descriptions of you. Do you like yours? What does it allow you, your partner, your children, your friends… to think, to say, to do?

Words are like empty glasses into which we pour our own meaning. And all big words find their meanings at the table where you feel at home. What matters to you, what you pay attention to, what you even notice in relationships – with time, with breakfast, with the body, with touch, with ancestors, with rules, with wheat, with the teachers, with the partner, with the universe, with the rose in bloom…

It is important to regularly clear the table of dried remnants of food and all the stuff of a family day. More importantly - leave on it the traces of countless cutlery marks and arguments, coloring with crayons just before bedtime, and spilled wine from night-time conversations. This is Life.

Humans are not the worst outcome of evolution on Earth. We are only a pale dot in our galaxy. There is always time for fresh bread… mmm, what else is still possible… a beautiful table is an opportunity we are given every day.

A table is beautiful if someone can join you at it. And it can be full, even just for you. That is why it is always beautiful.

Notice it, because it is NOT (just) a beautiful table.
